Here you can take a break from your hike and enjoy the view from the top of the tower. (Price: Adult 30 kr. Children 10 kr.) You can purchase ice-cream, beverages, coffee and souvenirs here.
Dronningestien is 5 km long and will take you towards Pikkerbakken, this track will not take you through Bangsbo and Dyrehaven like the others do. Nordsøstien is part of the North Sea Trail; it's a set of hiking tracks that is part of the historic trail along the North Sea. Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Holland, England and Scotland are all part of the trail consisting of 26 regions in total. In Denmark the trail is approximately 1500 km long. One of the track's passes through Frederikshavn, the track is called Aalbæk-Sæby and it is 48 km long. The hinterland between Aalbæk and Strandby has vast stretches of bog and heath; here you will also find Aalbæk Klitplantage where different types of pinewood grow. Very unique to this part of the country is the stone plains, which can also be found here. Between Aalbæk and Strandby lies the small town of Jerup. Here, in a protected area, you will be able to experience a peculiar little natural phenomenon, the so called Rimme Doppe landscape which is formed by the sea and can only be found on the side of Vendsyssel that faces the Kattegat. Strandby is a prober little fishing village, however because of the crisis and fishing restrictions the fleet has been reduced to half its size. The village is also well known for its characteristic church from 1965-66, it was designed by the architect J. Blegvad. Frederikshavn is the biggest town on the trail and offers plenty of places worth a visit. The stretch between Frederikshavn and Sæby mostly follows the coastline and offers fantastic views of the sea.
